If you’ve lived in the area your whole life and never tried surfing or you’re just passing through town and want to get out in the water. James is the perfect Surf instructor for the job. From learning the very basics and starting out with small waves; to finding perfect right-hand peelers at Rincon .
$150 for a two-hour surf lesson with James.

Adult Surf lessons and Surf coaching
Each Surf Lesson includes a pulmonary phone call to figure out what your goals are and why you want to learn how to surf. Then we pick a surf spot and I bring all the Surf equipment that you need from a wetsuit, a surfboard leash and a foam surfboard. I carry your boards down to the beach for you. We do foundational learning on the beach slowly transition into the water learning how to move the surfboard safely. Then out into the water at your own comfortability. The goal is to catch up some waves and stand-up but the most important part is that you’re having fun. All lessons are personally taught by James Pike.
